Ben Thanh Market is a massive market located in Ho Chi Minh City. The red roofed building, which was constructed by the French in 1914, is easily identified by a massive clock tower that faces Le Loi Boulevard.
Ben Thanh Market also is home to many good restaurants and cafes. They are inexpensive and serve great food.
The market was called "Les Halles Centralles" (Central Market Halls) by the French. It incorporates hundreds of different stalls selling all sorts of merchandise including tea, coffee, dry goods, fabric and clothing.
