The Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City is one of Saigon's most famous landmarks. When completed in 1959, the original 10-story building was the tallest in the city. The historic rooftop bar is a wonderful location to enjoy a drink.
During the Vietnam War, the Caravelle Hotel became the central headquarters for foreign journalists including reporters from the Washington Post, New York Times and Associated Press.
