Presidential Palace

Vietnam Tourist Information and Travel Guide

The Presidential Palace is a French Colonial  building in Vietnam's capital city.  It was built between 1900 and 1906 for the French Governor-General at that time.

When Ho Chi Minh took power, at the end of the French occupation, he did not feel comfortable living in such a elaborate building,  Consequently, he moved into the electrician's former quarters behind the building.
